Protacon strengthens its energy business operations by acquiring AA-Control Ltd

Protacon Ltd has acquired all shares of an automation engineering specialized AA-Control Ltd located in Oulu from Päähöyry Ltd.
With this acquisition Protacon strengthens especially its automation and electrification services for heat plants.
“AA-Control’s know-how and resources complete perfectly our delivery capacity in energy industry projects. In addition the acquisition strengthens our cooperation with Päähöyry Group and reinforces our local operation in Oulu”, states Protacon Ltd’s CEO Timo Akselin about the acquisition.

AA-Control Ltd continues as an independent limited company. Before the acquisition AA-Control Ltd was part of the ServPro Ltd's organization.

AA-Control Ltd is an expert contractor in electrification and automation, founded in 1986 and located in Oulu. The company is specialized in automation and electrification of heat plants as well as in control room and remote drive setups in the municipal sector. AA-Control Ltd has offices in Oulu and Himanka. The company employs six people.
Päähöyry Group has delivered heat and steam energy since 1959. The services also include combined electricity and heat production in gas motor plants. In addition, the companies build heat plants and manage projects of different sizes. Päähöyry Group employs 195 people, and its turnover in 2009 was about 35 million Euros.
ServPro Ltd has installed oil and gas heating devices since 1968. Energy service offers professional consultation, heating device sales, installation and maintenance for industries, enterprises as well as private estate owners. ServPro Ltd employs 29 persons and its turnover in 2009 was about 3.3 million Euros.
