Protacon implements its industrial services with plant and equipment engineering

As a new service Protacon delivers now comprehensive production line removal and modernization from project planning to commission.
Plant and equipment engineering is extension to Drives business started by Protacon Group last autumn. Plant engineering will be lead by a process technology expert Mr. Veijo Lindberg.
“We can now offer to the production lines a truly competitive total package. Our process engineering know-how enables starting the commissioning already from the idea stage of the customer. Mechanical engineering expertise becomes special strength when relocation projects include production line or equipment development”, states Protacon Ltd’s new Director, Process and Plant Engineering, Veijo Lindberg.
Protacon has long term experience in production line relocation projects in Finland and abroad. Paper and wood industry’s latest example is M-real’s Jyväskylä Kangas paper machine 2’s removal to China. Mr. Lindberg has participated in this project from the very beginning as he has also been involved in Sappi’s Kangas mill’s paper machine 4’s sales projects. Involvement in Kangas machines’ sales fell to Lindberg naturally as he has worked at the mill and as its specialist for over 30 years. During the same time Lindberg has also gained experience in equipment relocations. These relocations have been implemented in Finland, from Finland to abroad, from abroad to Finland and between third countries.
To Protacon Lindberg moved over from Sweco Industry Ltd, where he worked as specialist and Jyväskylä’s regional manager.
