Protacon delivered "turn-key" automation and drives modernization to Takraf Port Crane (capasity 50 tonn) in Port of Oulu.

Automation modernization was made with Siemens Simatic S7 automation solution.

Drives modernization was made by digitalizing the old Siemens 1200 Amp DC-drives and replacing the lower rated DC-drives with Siemens Sinamics DCM technology. Delivery also included new Siemens HMI systems and operator seat and consoles by Spohn&Burkhard.
After the modernization the port crane has been started up successfully on-schedule.
