Ozone plant relocation for UPM

Protacon delivers electric and automation design for UPM’s ozone plant, which is relocated from Kajaani mill to Pietarsaari.
The delivery is part of UPM Kajaani mill’s shut down related rearrangements. The excess ozone plant is now relocated to boost Pietarsaari pulp mill bleaching. Pietarsaari pulp mill is one of the largest producers of chemical pulp in Finland. In the same mill complex is the paper mill. It manufactures white and brown bag and technical papers as well as white sack papers.
Protacon has a strong experience in electric and automation design total deliveries related to production equipment modernizing and rebuilt. This is Protacon’s first direct total delivery to UPM Pietarsaari mill.
