Kymijärvi power plant's automation renewal
Protacon Engineering Ltd and Metso Automation Ltd have signed a contract regarding the development of Lahti Energia Ltd's Kymijärvi power plant automation.
The contract agreement includes process electrics and instrument design as well as installation supervision and implementation services.
The Lahti Energia Ltd owned Kymijärvi power plant was built in 1975 and the facility can produce 200 MW of electricity and 250 MW of municipal heating.
Metso Automation Ltd is a part of Metso Plc.
Metso is an international technology conglomerate whose turnover in 2006 was around 5 billion Euros. Metso has over 26,000 workers in over 50 countries and is involved in the paper industry, stone and mineral processing, energy industry as well as a few other industries.
