Future real estate management system with considerable collaboration

A new-generation real estate management and control system will be constructed at Renforsin Ranta (Shore of Renfors) business park located at UPM Kajaani mill’s former premises.
The system integrates for the first time in Finland the whole real estate technology maintenance information into one system. The management system enables flexibly distributing the needed information for the different user groups of the premises for example about the energy usage and the security.
The pilot project at Renforsin Ranta will be delivered in cooperation with four organizations. On behalf of the delivery consortium the contract with UPM of the entire system has been signed by Protacon Engineering Ltd.
”The delivery to Renforsin Ranta business park is a nationally remarkable market opening for a new type of integrated real estate management system. As a large renovation destination Renforsin Ranta offers this project the best possible pilot site,” describes Protacon Engineering Ltd’s technical director and the project responsible Vesa Talvela.
Protacon Engineering Ltd operates as the consortium’s leader and it is responsible for the integration and information system solutions as well as the total delivery of the project. Cinos Solutions Ltd delivers the real estate automation, fire alarm and HVAC systems, Turvallisuuspiste Suomi Ltd delivers the real estate and area surveillance camera and intrusion systems and Tieto-Oskari Ltd from Kajaani delivers the access control and working time attendance systems.
”We have analyzed the real estate automation systems on the market, but we were not able to find comprehensive enough system to suit our needs. Our aim is that the system that is now built will help us in the future to provide the needed services cost effectively”, states Renforsin Ranta business parks’ director Jarmo Torvinen.
The first phase of the delivery will start right away and the following phases will start in the autumn according to the renovations of the premises. The final size of the delivery is determined as the Renforsin Ranta business park progresses. Renforsin Ranta has signed agreements with almost 30 companies that will be located the business park. There are premises in all about 120 000 m2.
