Automation system for UPM-Kymmene Research Reactor
The automation system of research reactor R3 of the UPM-Kymmene Research Center in Lappeenranta is implemented with the LabVIEW software and the National Instruments cRIO equipment.
Protacon's delivery included the automation system with a PC control room user interface, switchboards and gas control centers as well as electrical and instrumentation engineering for the reactor room classified as an explosive atmosphere.
A particularity of the project is the use of the automation library developed by Protacon for the Labview environment, the functionality of which corresponds to extensive DCS systems.
